Just as fans were debating whether or not to accept Levines new look, he took to Instagram Stories to reveal the truth.
I got some messages from my mother I dont have a tattoo on my face, Levine said, his face devoid of tattoos. Because those who really know me realize that I am very vain. Im too f****** vain to get a facial tattoo. Ill tattoo the rest of it, he said, but the face needs to remain the same.
Of all, when it comes to a major brand launch, celebrities must go big or go home, right? Levine clearly did his job and got people talking about his tequila in the process. According to the brands Instagram page, Calirosa tequila is the top rated Rosa tequila in the world. Its prepared with 100% blue agave and aged entirely in California red wine barrels.

The Maroon 5 frontman, 42, and the Victoria’s Secret model, 32, hosted a private party for their celebrity pals in Los Angeles on Thursday to celebrate their tequila brand, Calirosa.
Joining the couple at Ysabel, was Channing Tatum and model Stella Maxwell as well as The Originals actress Phoebe Tonkin, singer Charlotte Lawrence, actress Sarah Wright Olsen, and singer Liza Owen.
Levine’s family was also in attendance for the big event, as they celebrated the “Payphone” singer’s dad’s birthday with a special cake for the occasion, a partygoer tells PEOPLE.
Additionally, partygoers were treated to a custom floral ice luge in which they filled their glasses with chilled Calirosa tequila, and the couple held a private tasting of their newest limited-edition Extra Añejo tequila with their business partners, Marina Real, Roberto Real, Margarita Real, and Estafania Real.
Levine and Prinsloo were both dressed to the nines to celebrate the momentous occasion, with Levine sporting a black knee-length tailcoat over a matching black-and-gold patterned set, black square-toe boots, an edgy black manicure, and a clean-shaven face.
While tequila is typically aged in whiskey barrels, pink tequila is aged in red wine barrels, which gives it its rose-colored hue.

DETROIT Last August, Vince Patton was watching a YouTube video of a Tesla owner who had made a startling observation: Tesla drivers could now play a video game on their cars touch-screen dashboard while the vehicle is moving.
Curious to see for himself, Patton drove his own 2021 Tesla Model 3 to an empty community college parking lot, activated a game called Sky Force Reloaded from a menu and did a few loops.
I was just dumbfounded that, yes, sure enough, this sophisticated video game came up, said Patton, a 59-year-old retired broadcast journalist who lives near Portland, Ore.
He tried Solitaire, too, and was able to activate that game while driving. Later, he found he could browse the internet while his car was moving.
Patton, who loves his car and says he has nothing against Tesla, worries that drivers will play games and become dangerously distracted.
Somebodys going to get killed, he said. Its absolutely insane.
Which is why early last month, Patton decided to file a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the governments road safety agency.
NHTSA needs to prohibit all live video in the front seat and all live interactive web browsing while the car is in motion, Patton wrote in his complaint. Creating a dangerous distraction for the driver is recklessly negligent.
On Dec. 8, NHTSA confirmed that its looking into the matter. News of Pattons complaint was first reported by The New York Times.
